Solar energy for homes and businesses

Solar Brook Valley surveys roofs, plans rooftop photovoltaic systems and home batteries, and helps with the grid-connection paperwork. Our office is in Marugame, Kagawa; whether we can take on a project elsewhere is something we confirm by email, case by case.

About Solar Brook Valley

We look at the roof first and the numbers second.

Solar Brook Valley is a small solar business for houses and small commercial buildings. We survey the roof, plan the system, and help with the grid-connection and FIT paperwork that comes with it. This page describes how we work rather than telling a company legend, because what you need before a roof project is a clear process, not a biography.

Every enquiry starts the same way: you tell us about the building, and we read it before we answer. If the roof is shaded, too small, in poor condition or simply a poor fit, we say so plainly instead of selling a system anyway. Quotes are written individually after a survey, because roof area, orientation, shading and the existing electrical setup all change the scope of the work.

Our office is in Marugame, Kagawa. We do not publish a service area on this site: if your property is elsewhere in Japan, write to us and we will tell you by email whether a visit and an installation are practical. Which electrical contractor carries out the wiring, and which registrations that contractor holds, is stated in the written quote, and we would like you to ask for those details before you sign.

About

Project types

Every project is quoted individually after a site survey, because roof area, shading, panel orientation and your existing electrical setup all affect the scope. These are the categories we can quote for.

Home battery storage: what to know before buying

Interest in home batteries has grown in Japan, partly because of worry about power cuts in typhoon season and partly because using your own solar power has become more attractive as FIT rates have come down. This note covers the practical questions that come up most when a household considers storage.

A bit more

Our office is in Marugame, Kagawa. We do not publish a service area: if your property is elsewhere, tell us where and we will say by email whether a visit and an installation are practical. Which electrical contractor does the wiring, and which registrations it holds, is stated in the written quote.

Which solar option suits your property?

Answer three questions and we will point you to the part of our work that fits best. It takes about a minute, and nothing is sent anywhere.

What type of property are you enquiring about?

Do you already have a solar system installed?

What is your main priority right now?

Here is a good starting point

Based on your answers, here is the part of our work that fits best. A site survey is the usual next step. Whether it is charged is stated in writing before any visit is booked.

Tell us about your property and roof

Tell us where the property is, what kind of building it is and what you have in mind. We will read it and reply by email; if we can take the project on, the reply proposes how a site survey would work.

Pressing the button opens a draft in your email program and nothing is stored on this website. We aim to reply within two business days (a target, not a promise).
Sending a message commits you to nothing. Whether a survey is charged, and what it costs, is stated in writing before any visit.
